What has a population of 175, three advertising jingles, and one love story?
A mini-musical about Christmas

While participating in the Musical Writer’s Workshop at Theatre Building Chicago in 2005, Doug and Steve, plus playwright Luther Goins were asked to build a 15-minute show based on the talents of five students from the Theatre Department at Loyola University of Chicago.

The result was One Day in December, a mini-musical about an everyday people, and a creative bond between three guys who love theatre.

Steve and Doug are a wonderful duo! Their unique style blends clever lyrics, catchy melodies, and fascinating concepts in their stories and in their music. Their passion for creating is contagious and you can't help but smile and feel inspired when working with them and hearing their ideas. They are both incredibly smart, kind, and dedicated individuals who have certainly carved out a place for themselves in the world of musical theatre.
