Doug and Steve collaborated with playwright Luther Goins on One Day In December—a 15-minute musical about an everyday Joe who wants nothing more than to play Santa Claus in the local Christmas parade.

Luther’s book was inspiring.

This five-tune, five-character rom-com was first performed in 2005 by students of Loyola University of Chicago Theatre Department: Danielle Diaz, Angie Johnson, Sarah Pretz, Michael Sherman, and Mike Wolfe (produced by Theatre Building Chicago, directed by Allan Chambers, musical direction by Jeff Bouthiette).
